Automotive Technology Level 1

After completing this course, you should be able to:

  • Define the role of the automotive technician and effective workplace skills
  • Identify automotive tools and equipment and how they are used safely
  • Recall strategies for preventive automotive maintenance
  • Recognize automotive engine design, assembly, and service
  • List the principles of lower end and upper end theory and service

Automotive Technology Level 2

After completing this course, you should be able to:

  • Define the principles of electricity and electrical systems
  • Identify components of starting and charging systems
  • Recall concepts for servicing computer system components and accessories
  • Recognize methods for servicing engine performance systems
  • List the basics for servicing intake and exhaust systems

Automotive Technology Level 3

Automotive Technology Level 3

Upon successful completion of the Automotive Technology course series, students will be prepared to sit for the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) national certification exam to become a Certified Automotive Technician.

** Certification exams are not included in the cost of the course.**
